Release 9.1 of the firm’s FPGA design software and pc-board system feature built-in links to activeparts.com, its on-line design center. The website features an on-line catalog of more than 500,000 components and gives users all available component data, including schematic symbols, datasheets, pricing and distributor availability. OrCAD Express, the firm’s programmable logic design and simulation system, integrates a VHDL editor/debugger, sophisticated logic synthesis and VHDL-based gate-level and timing simulation. Release 9.1 includes new support for Atmel’s FPGA products in high-density, compute-intensive DSP and other fast logic designs. Also, support for Lattice Semiconductor products has been enhanced to give Express users access to the latest in Lattice’s ispLSI devices.
