Screening of timing, signal integrity and EMI effects in pc boards is made possible by the EMC-Engineer Companion Series of tools. The series is tightly integrated into a number of host EDA systems to provide an easy-to-use, comprehensive analysis capability. Users need not adapt their host systems or add to or modify the design library. The tools provide users with fast screening of their pc board designs to locate problems associated with interconnection design and performance while laying out the board. A rule-building environment enables users to create ViewPorts, which are customer-defined views that display engineering violations and locate problems fast.
