Paging Tone Decoder IC Touts Programmability
May 2003 Issue
Published Date: May 01, 2003
The CMX823 programmable paging decoder IC is a high performance, low power audio tone decoder. It supports tones from 280 kHz to 3.5 Hz and allows users to create their own tone frequency alphabet for standard and non-standard tone paging and radio systems. In addition, the chip can detect up to 32 user-defined tones to support a large number of receiver addresses. Fast and slow measurement modes are available for standard tone signaling protocols. Outputs include tone decoded, no tone, and unlisted tone. Other features include a typical current consumption of 0.75 mA and a power-save mode. The device is available in 16-pin TSSOP and DIL packages. For more information and price, contact CML MICROCIRCUITS, Essex, England. +44 1621 875500.
