Facilitating snap-in mounting of AA batteries directly to pc boards, this new selection of leaf-type contacts feature a spring tension design that provides low contact resistance while adjusting to variations in battery length. The contacts are said to offer high mechanical strength and durability and to come in either leaf-spring (negative, part #590) or button (positive, part #596) styles, with each type fabricated from 0.010" nickel-plated spring steel.
