A new power supply unit has been specifically designed for the latest surround-sound hot tubs and spas. The R1005 is a single 12V-output power supply rated at 180W or 350W with power inputs of 120 or 240 Vac. The unit is ETL certified to meet UL and CSA standards for spa/hot tub usage, and is capable of powering the latest integrated water-resistant audio, communication and control equipment. Compliance for spa use is keyed by a shielded and grounded transformer designed to eliminate shock hazards, as well as provide short-circuit protection. The single output is adjustable from 12 to 14 Vdc. Ratings for the R1005 include 1% Vp-p at maximum load and ±1% line and load regulation. Custom modifications can be made. Pricing is $160 each/25.
