Fuseblock Cover Saves Assembly And Service Time
June 2004 Issue
Published Date: June 08, 2004
Promising reduced assembly and repair times, the OGN series easy-grab fuseblock cover is pre-loaded with a 5 mm x 20 mm fuse and fitted cover and available on tape-and-reel for automated assembly. The cover grabs the fuse, removing it when the cover is lifted, while eliminating direct contact with the fuse in circuit. Maximum current and voltage ratings are 10A and 250V, respectively, and power acceptance at ambient air temperature is up to 4W, with or without the reflow cover, or 2.5W with the transparent cover. Fabricated with thermoplastic material, the socket is UL 94V-0 rated and withstands soldering temperatures as per the IEC 60068-2-20 test Tb method 1B. Mounting variations include surface mount with a footprint of 23 mm x 6 mm or through-hole with a pitch of 22.5 mm or 25 mm. Price is $0.37 each/500.
