A new extended height module and curved cover have been designed for the company’s DIN rail mounting enclosures. The extension module adds 15 mm to the height of the original enclosure. With the extra height, two additional PCBs can be mounted horizontally. This module snap fits to the top of existing enclosures. Like the original enclosure, the new extension module is molded from Lexan polycarbonate to ensure the finished molding full meets UL94V0 flame retardancy ratings. The new curved cover is designed to improve aesthetic appeal for the enclosure. With an enhanced look, users can deliver their systems in housings appearing to be custom designed, rather than looking like a standard box from any supplier. Colors include solid gray, clear, red transparent and smoky gray transparent. The design allows the hinged lid to be locked in the opened position so adjustments can be made to circuits within the enclosure without having to hold the cover. This curved cover can be supplied with our without a small hole enabling units to be sealed with wire, preventing unauthorized tampering with circuitry.
