Voltage-Feedback Amp Drives Video Lines
April 2005 Issue
Published Date: April 04, 2005
The OPA830 is a high-speed, voltage-feedback amplifier having high gain-bandwidth (110 MHz) and fast slew rate (600 V/µs) suitable for driving video lines. The device is intended to operate from a single supply voltage from 2.8V to 11V but can be used for bipolar ±1.4 V and ±5.5 V supply operation. Gain of +2 V/V bandwidth exceeds 100 MHz with typical 0.1 dB flatness beyond 25 MHz. The output swings to within 25 mV of either supply while driving a 150? load. The input range extends below the negative supply and to within 1.7V of the positive supply. The device draws 3.9 mA of supply current. Package options are an industry-standard SO-8 or an ultra small SOT23-5 that is lead-free and Green. Price is $0.75 each/1,000. TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INC., Dallas, TX. (800) 477-8924.
