A new enclosure box has been designed for harsher environments where the electronics need protection from water and dust, as well as regular bumps and knocks. The Robust Box is sealed to IP66 and is available in 25 sizes ranging from 3.15" x 3.15" x 2.454" to 14.17" x 9.45" x 6.30". Two materials are offered: ABS or polycarbonate, in light gray. Polycarbonate versions are most suitable for outdoor use. The enclosure can be easily mounted to a wall or machine, or can be used as a hand-held controller or table-top unit. Both the top and base parts have a recess for mounting membrane keypads or product identification/operation labels. Internal screw pillars are provided for pc boards and terminal blocks. Replacement cover strips come in gray, red, yellow, green and blue so devices can be color coded to indicate different applications or functions.
