Octal ADCs Enable High Channel Counts
October 2006 Issue
Published Date: October 12, 2006
The AD92xx family emerges as the industry's first 8-channel a/d converters to extend resolution to 14 bits. The 10-bit AD9212 and 12-bit AD9222 consume less than 100 mW per channel, while the AD9252 debuts as the first 14-bit, high-speed octal a/d converter. All three are available in 64-pin, 9 mm x 9 mm LFCSPs. Other shared features include sampling rates up to 50 Msamples/s depending on the device, LVDS outputs, a SNR of 70 dB to Nyquist, programmable clock and data alignment, and digital test pattern generation via SPI. Prices for the AD9212, AD9222, and AD9252 are $32, $44, and $54 each/1,000, respectively. ANALOG DEVICES INC., Norwood, MA. (800) 262-5643
