Tailored to next-gen handhelds, the AT24C1024B suits up as the industry’s first 1-Mb serial EEPROM device in an 8-lead TSSOP (4.4 mm) package. The company's advanced EEPROM technology is said to make this feat possible. Previously, according to the company, the highest available density was 512 Kb. The device, packing a 2-wire protocol with a clock frequency up to 1 MHz, is also available in an SO8 narrow body and a 150-mil JEDEC SOIC (3.8 mm).
