STMicro Delivers 32-Mb Serial Flash With Dual I/O

The M25PX32 32-Mb log in as the first of the sector, sub-sector erase serial flash memory family with dual I/O. Existing M25PE devices feature high granularity while the M25PX family guarantees high-speed performance. Developed with the company's 0.11-mm process technology, the devices operate at 75 MHz over a 2.7V to 3.6V supply range and over a -40°C to 85°C industrial temperature range. Regarding dual I/O, during the fast read phase, the dual output command allows the system to double the data-transfer bandwidth, thereby effectively clocking the NOR at the equivalent of 150 MHz. Also, in the fast program phase, both input and output pins are usable for programming the memory. Samples of the M25PX32 are available now in S08W, MLP8, and SO16W packages.
