The established PolySwitch line of resettable, surface-mount polymeric positive temperature coefficient (PPTC) protection devices now includes the picoSMD035F device, which is the smallest PPTC over-current protection device available for consumer and computer electronics. Its 0805 (2012 mm) EIA-compliant form factor consumes less than half the board space of previous offerings. Specifications include a voltage rating of 6V, hold current of 0.35A, trip current of 0.75A, and a maximum resistance of 1.4 Ohms. Starting price is $0.30 each/100,000.
