RF Amp Slices Power And Size

February 08, 2008
Reducing design complexity and board space in 2.3 GHz to 4 GHz WiMAX and WiBro applications, the ADL5321 RF driver amplifier in a three-pin SOT-89 package eliminates up to four external passive components. The device delivers an output OIP3 of 40 dBm and an output compression point of 25 dBm at 2,600 MHz. Consuming 84 mA in operation, it also features on-chip active bias circuitry. Other features include ±4 kV of ESD protection. Sampling now with production quantities set for May, price is $2.55 each/1,000. ANALOG DEVICES, INC., Norwood, MA. (800) 426-2564.
