Protection Devices Extend Current Ratings

August 19, 2008
Tailored for use in both primary and secondary circuits, the established UMT 250 series circuit-protection devices extend current ratings from 80 mA to 10A. The series provides over-current and short-circuit protection and features a compact design. They mount on both sides of a circuit board and make viable substitutes for axial and radial-lead, through-hole fuses where bending leads can cause assembly delays. The time-lag characteristic devices provide ratings of 250 Vac and 125 Vdc according to IEC and 277 Vac and 250 Vdc according to UL. Breaking capacities range up to 200A at a particular device’s voltage rating. Price starts at $0.60 each/100. SCHURTER INC., Santa Rosa, CA. (800) 848-2600.
